Can we have Separate Default SharePoint sites for Separate Accounts?

Hi,

Is it possible to have separate Default SharePoint sites for separate Accounts. I understand that this is not possible OOB. Is there any plug-in or solution that will do this?

Moreover, what I am looking for is that for all contacts of a particular account, Document Location of the contacts will link to the particular SharePoint site of that account and this should happen automatically.

Right now, by using OOB, I can manually link separate SharePoint sites to separate Accounts and even the Contacts will link to the SharePoint site of the Account (but this has to be done manually). But, I cannot access/view/upload files that are in the contact via the Document view of the Account.

I have the same question (0)

    Good day Henry,

If my understanding is correct , you would like to separate default SharePoint sites for separate Accounts as your question title mentioned.

Since this community is mainly focused on D365 Application Issues. I would suggest you to post the ticket in SPS community where there will be more experts to help you on the issue within Plugin or solution:

    social.msdn.microsoft.com/.../home

    Hope the above would help.

    Regards

    Johnny

Thank you Johnny for the suggestion.

But, as this is for Integration mainly based on Dynamics 365 Accounts and settings/plugin/solution/workflow would have to be fixed/imported in Dynamics, would posting in SPS community be helpful?

    Hey Henry,

This is not possible OOB. We can enable entity based integration or Account/Contact based integration OOB.

When we click on Documents tab of a record in UCI, it creates an Account folder with respective name in SharePoint. You can change this using custom plugin and create a SharePoint site I believe but I am not sure how the permission will be managed here. Only Admins can create site in SharePoint.

Following link may give you some direction somewhere in this.
