The search configuration documentation is here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/social-engagement/set-up-searches
The current state is: LinkedIn acquisition is supported and RSS feeds are supported. Any RSS feed can be acquired by going to Search -> Custom Sources
Hi Stefan,
is there an updated list of blogs and newsfeed supported by MSE?
Thank you very much,
Fabio
Hi Bojan
The search language scope also applies to Facebook Pages. Since we do not support Croatian as search language yet, you will not be able to monitor croatian posts on Facebook Pages at the moment. Nevertheless we are looking into extending our language scope with future releases, and will communicate on a timeline once this is confirmed.
Stefan, hi!
This was very helpful. To complete this subject I ran into one more potential obstacle and that is language barrier. Since Croatian language is not within 15core language pack, neither within 5 additional languages, therefore I realise that search as well as sentiment analysis is not possible. But what about search for topics on Croatian Facebook pages such as search for particular brands, brand names, products (that may/may not include non english letters such as č,ć,š) that are being mentioned in posts?
Is that possible without any complications? How does MSE stand there at the moment?
Hi Bojan,
Regarding your Question on coverage of News and Blogs by MSE as of today.
Blogs are covered currently by a full coverage of Tumblr.com as well as full coverage of Wordpress.com and wordpress.org. Both sources are covered through a licensed firehose access to the these platforms. News on the other hand are covered through a collaboration with a News Syndicator providing licensed content of 3000+ of the major Publishers and Newswires with a focus on American and international publication. Both types of sources will be extended in the near future and further details will be provided in time through our Blog and other communication channels.
I must ask/repeat something already asked above but not answered - when saying that MSE currently supports Blogs & News - what do you mean when saying it?
What kind of blogs & news? Could you give us an example, please?!
Hi Bojan, The most recent release of MSE (December 8th) introduced Custom Sources which enables you to integrate RSS and atom feeds to MSE's listening capabilities. Depending on the use-case of your customer, this might be already what they are looking for. Broad coverage of Boards / Discussion forums are part of the MSE roadmap and upcoming releases.
Is any kind of API available now for integration between Social Engagement and web portals/forums? To be more specific, if a client needs social media and website tracking and perception analysis to see how often his brand name and products are being mentioned on most visited portals, can it be provided through Social Engagement? Or is it optimised only for social media channels?
Tnx,
B.
Sorry, can you give me a hand with a Facebook issue?
I have a message in the fan page (facebook) and social engagement listened it but the tool does not show the message posted by the fan page´s author, just show the comment. Could it be because i have a professional licence?
I attach the issue.
