Do you know if it's possible to set a user as read only in dynamics 365?

    Hi Manivannan,

    Sure, please follow steps below.

Note: If you want a user to have read only privilege in some legal entities then you should click "Assign organizations" after you add the role to that user and select legal entities there.

    Hi All,

Do we have any option for this apart from creating a new role?

    Hi,

Code in the below link deals with walk through creating a read only role on AX2012 provided by André. Though its on AX2012 as there is no much difference in security architecture its definitely worth a try.

in this case , you need to create new role from scratch and set permission for view only
