Business Performance Analytics Database Usage

Hello,
 
I've recently installed BPA and refreshed the data, I was shocked to see that it seems to be taking up 250GB of "file" database storage capacity. Is this normal? Can this be lowered by any config? I haven't done anything with the product at the minute other than install it and let the data refresh.

    We can't suggest if it is normal or not without knowing more about your environment and setup. Anyway, the growth looks suspicious. If you don't have that much of transactions, I would suggest reaching out to Microsoft Support. They can check what is going on.

    Turns out it's due to the link to fabric being created and is "by design" according to MS support. It seems rather expensive!
