"Convert Task to Case": Customer field not being prepopulated

Posted on by 35

Hi all,
When I select "convert Task to Case" from a saved Task, the build-in popup shows up with the Customer field being empty (I need to scroll throug all customers.. not anything Iwant to do).
If I select "convert Phonecall to Case" from a saved PC, the same field are prepopulated.
What do I need to do to get the Customer fields for the Task Case to be pre populated?

regards,
Marius H. Enerud

    Hi,

If your would like to customize the task convert to case dialog , this's still not supported.

There's a similar thread that customer would like to auto populate value in customer field in "convert to case" dialog from task entity "Regarding" field which is the same with yours.

You could refer to the workaround to set real time workflow or create a custom customer field on task and then map it to customer field of case in the above article.

    Hope it would help.

    Best Regards

    Johnny
