- Engagement insights now supports creation of custom segments, metrics and dimensions for increased richness in reporting to meet greater analytics needs.
- Segments allow you to identify subsets of visitors based on characteristics or website interactions. Segments let you apply filters and analyze those subsets. The analysis can help examine and respond to trends in your business.
- Metrics allow you to aggregate event properties and measure statistics and performance of your website properties. Analyzing metrics helps you better understand your website audience. Combining metrics with dimensions on a custom report lets you measure behavior to better understand users.
- A dimension is an attribute of an event that can describe, filter, or group data. If you’re running a marketing promotion on your website, you can use dimensions to sort visitors by new and returning users. Gain deeper insight into your events by creating custom dimensions.
