Can we run Posting Purchase Order Confirmation for checking only ?

Hi,

Can we run Posting Purchase Order Confirmation, but without the real posting, in X++, but the intention is to use its checking validation ? So the result will be the PO still not yet confirmed, but all the method is used and can throw us an error if something not right ?

How's the code will be ?

Hi,

You can use workaround to tackle this, if you have approval workflow then the recent feature validates the incorrect or missing accounts.

Or if you dont use workflow then also you can use the workflow and there you add an automatic action, which means user just need to submit into the workflow and if something isn't right, system will stop, and if everything is fine, after submission, system will automatically approve the po.

Hi Ken,

From the user interface, you can confirm a purchase order and disable the Posting check box. In that case, as a user, you can print a pro forma confirmation. I think if you call the PO confirmation without posting and printing, you will probably be able to capture the validation result.
