Hi All,

I am facing an issue ,when ever i start the AX AOS services its shows an error

"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion"

I am using AX 2012 R2 CU7.

Can any one have any idea about this issue.

I had this issue too, after I installed multiple instances of AOS on same VM. I tried to edit the configuration and messed it. When I restart server I see this 1053 error. I fixed it by making sure the settings in registry file were correct, the new registry file was pointing to incorrect database server.

Start - Run - type regedit - this will open up windows registry.

Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dynamics Server\6.0\

here you will select the configuration and make sure dbserver, ModelDatabase, ModelDatabase_Baseline, ModelDBServer look correct.

Okay, if you got 1053 too, let's keep this question here (although 1053 is a very generic error, so we're discussing several different things here). But your problem with compilation clearly doesn't belong here - please create a new thread (with an appropriate title and tags) and explain your problem in detail there.

Regarding "Failed to unregister service principal name", look at what other people wrote about it, such as here and here.

Hi Martin,

Yes, the error code appearing the dialog while restarting the AOS service is 1053.

I am ok if move my question to separate thread.

One more thing Martin, AX service is running after getting this error but while compilation AX client is going to freeze for long time (It take more than one day but still compilation is not competed). AX version i have installed is MS AX 2012 R3 and OS is Windows server 2012 R2, I want to know whether this causing any compatibility issue?

Darshan, is it really the same error? Your reply doesn't mention error 1053 even once, so it seems that you're dealing with a different error and your question doesn't belong here. If you agree, I'll move your question to a separate thread and we'll discuss the problem with principal name registration there (you're not the first one getting this error).

i'm also getting the same error. in event log error is captured as

1) "The description for Event ID 110 from source Microsoft Dynamics AX cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Unable to connect to an Application Object Server. A company name or server name may not be specified correctly in the client configuration, or the server specified may not be available."

2) Object Server 01: RPC error: Failed to unregister service principal name (SPN): 'XXX16D8E-XXX1-433B-XXXX-9XXXXXXXXXCEA4/DARSHAN.DAX.local:2712'

3) The Microsoft Dynamics AX Application Object Server is running on an operating system that is not supported. The supported operating system versions are Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.

can anyone please suggest on this.

Hi Deepak

I have a question about the error you ask above.

What if I start AX 2012 for the first time and get the error 1053?

I cant do the CIL because the application still not active.

I already add ServicesPipeTimeout to regedit, but still not working

Any other suggestion for this problem?

Hi All,

I am also getting the same issue.

I tried to change the regedit based on the following link

Still it is not solved.

Please share if you got solution on the same.
