Untrack emails

Hi all! Previously we had settings to smart track emails and long story short, a whole lot of junk was being tracked! We not disabled "use correlation to track email conversations" so other settings are disabled with it. 

I think the system is still tracking quite a bit of emails behind the scenes from users that have been previously tracked. Is there a way to untrack a batch of emails? Does deleting the email in the activities section untrack it or just delete the email (and another email from the sender will be tracked in the future)?

Help, this is getting a bit out of control!

    I see if I delete the email in activities in CRM it deletes it from the record but now looking to completely untrack it.

    At the very least, hoping someone can help with untracking email. Do you have to do it manually in Outlook or if you delete them in CRM does that do it as well?
