Vendor account num flow from vend group to vendtable in d365 fo x++

Hi All,

We have set up a custom number sequence for vendor accounts and assigned it directly to the Vendor Groups form. In the standard UI, when a user creates a new vendor and selects a Vendor Group, the system automatically pulls the vendor account number from that specific group's sequence.

I need to debug this standard data flow to see exactly how the number sequence reference passes from the VendGroup record to the VendTable field buffer. We need to implement an identical requirement for the Product Number generation process. Is there any specific classes or methods need to look into it.

It depends on how you create the vendor (through the form, a data entity...).

If you're interested in the form, check out numberSeqFormHandler() method on VendTable form.

You can use Find references (on the field) to get this kind of information.

Please check the below classes for the number seqence and also you can use the find reference to check the related object and enable the debugging to have a better understanding as well.
