FetchXML CRM reports with Visual Studio 2017

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to create reports for a CRM Online installation using FetchXML in Visual Studio 2017? Do I need to go back to Visual Studio 2015 so I can use the data tools, or is there another way?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks,
Jonathan

Thanks Scott. I'll try and get hold of 2015 then!

The BIDS extensions do not currently support vs2017 - so Yes you will need to use vs2015 with Sql data tools.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Jonathan,

I have corrected the version tag. Operations was incorrect here.
