How to restore the OOB “Related Products” tab in the Knowledge Article form

Hi All,

I am customizing the OOB Knowledge Article main form in Dynamics 365 Customer Service.

Under:

Summary tab → Related Information section

there are OOB section tabs such as:

  • Related Versions
  • Related Translations
  • Related Categories
  • Related Articles
  • Related Products

The Related Products tab was accidentally removed from the form, and I need to restore it exactly as it was OOB.

I checked the same Knowledge Article form in a fresh trial environment and found the following OOB configuration:

  • Label: Related Products
  • Subgrid Name: AssociatedProductsGrid
  • Default View: Associated Products
  • Tab Icon: /_imgs/KnowledgeArticle/Product_Association_16.png
  • Show related records: Yes
  • Hide search box: Yes
  • Maximum rows: 5

I can manually recreate the subgrid, but the issue is with the OOB tab icon. The modern form designer asks me to select an Image Web Resource, while /_imgs/KnowledgeArticle/Product_Association_16.png is an internal Microsoft image path and is not available as a normal web resource.

What is the supported way to restore the original OOB Related Products tab/control, including its OOB icon?

Is there a way to restore/copy the original OOB component from another environment, or should this be restored through FormXml/solution customization?

I want to avoid creating a custom image or making an unsupported modification and restore the original Microsoft configuration as closely as possible.

Thanks!
