I have a fiew Extendend Data Types that extend my SalesTable. I would like to add these to a custom entity in a project, but when I select SalesTable as a source, I cannot see the extended data types. Is there any good tutorial or guide on how to add them?
Do you mean fields that you've added to a table extension of SalesTable?
Where don't you see the fields? In the wizard or in the designer?
Are you in the package where you've added the fields, or does your current package a reference to the one with the fields?
Yes, exactly. In the Application Explorer I have something that looks like:
SalesTable.Ext_Sales [BisIntegration]
I'm not in the package where I added the fields, I'm working in another one. After I add a reference to the BisIntegration model in the model parameters I can add the table extention to the project, but from here I do not know how to include these extended fields to the SalesTable custom entity I've made.EDIT: I don't know why, but after deleting the extension from the project, refreshing the model, re-adding the extension to the project, I can see the fields avaiable for my SalesTable entity (using Sales table as datasource).Case closed I guess!
Hi Agneum,
Is this BisIntegration part of an ISV solution from To-Increase?
If so, note that overlayering ISV models is not best practice and can cause issues with future updates. Always try to extend the application with a new own model.
