Workflow to Populate Mandatory Fields

Hello

In my modified phone call form, when the 'call from' field when set to a given value say "123", i then want two other mandatory fields to populate with a given value. I cannot get my Workflow to trigger on the first action as appears the system isn't reading  that as changed value because the mandatory fields are blank.  How can I get this to fire?

I have tried making the mandatory fields to business not required with a Business Rule on the 'call from field' but this doesn't show as available on the if condition part of the Business Rule builder.

I have start when 'record is created' and 'record fields change' - call to invoked

Any ideas please.

    Hi,

    Please share your workflow or business rule.

    At the mean time,

    1.) make sure you select the field in "record fields change" ( workflow) and the workflow is activated.

    2.) Business rule, make sure the scope is select correctly, and activated.

    So

    A1 is a text field in form entity A, A1 is a party list in entity B...

    Hello,

    You should implement this using JavaScript. The script should trigger on change of 'call from' field and populate the mandatory fields.

    How to populate field using JavaScript -> docs.microsoft.com/.../setvalue

    Workflow only triggers when a record is saved.

    Hope this helps.
