Recipient address isn't valid

Hi,

I am new to Dynamics 365 for Marketing and created a Customer Journey but bumped into problem where the contact are Blocked and categorized to "Recipient address isn't valid".

I have tried adding static and dynamic segments of email(gmail, outlook and company email), company and other account queries for a test but with no luck.

Hoping to have answer to this.

Thanks in advance

    Hi Joseph,

That result means that you tried to send that many messages without a valid to-address. This might be because you included contacts with no email address in your segment, or that some contact records have malformed email addresses (eg, with no @  in them), or that you are using a dynamic expression that failed to find a valid to-address for some recipients.

You can read more about customer journey insights here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/marketing/insights#customer-journey-insights

There is also a glossary of common insights terms here (though this one isn't in it as of yet): https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/marketing/insights-glossary

    Hi Karl,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I did create a static segments getting the contacts which I control and does have valid email address as shown in screenshot.

I also tested a dynamic query which qualify to error checking.

Please let me know what your thoughts.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi Joseph,

I don't see anything obviously wrong with your segment. Static segments should work fine. There are a few domains that we blacklist as recipient addresses (such as disposable address providers), so it could be the domains I can't see there are blocked, but probably not. The other place to look is in your message itself, where the To address uses an expression to find the address of each recipient. The default almost always works: {{ contact.emailaddress1 }}. Did you change that? (I suppose you didn't, but it's worth looking.)

It could be that you need to get in touch with Microsoft Support so they can take a look at your specific instance in detail.

    Highsight,

Can you provide more detail of your problem?  And if possible include screenshots?  Makes it easier to try to help.
