Checking if there's a way to automatically create a native task or activity OR a custom task when there's a new email inbound coming-in?
We do have email-to-case configured in Production but that is for customer service use only. We wanted to build a similar thing but instead of case the record will be created as activity/task, could be by native or by custom entity/task.
Would this be possible? High level use case would be.
(1) Internal user or customer send email to one of the mailbox
(2) Create activity in D365
(3) User will manage the activity, close the status once we have provided the necessary information to customer or internal user
(4) A closed notification will be sent to customer and once the customer respond, it will automatically open the activity.
