Unable to create Insight Cards for Leads from Assistant Studio of D365 Sales Insights

Hi Everyone,

We're experiencing an issue where we're unable to create an Insight Card for a Lead record. Here's what we've done so far:

We created a Power Automate flow that triggers on update of the Lead record, which is supposed to create the Insight Card for assistance. However, the process fails with the error message: "Unable to create  relationship for lead with msdyn_actioncardregarding " as shown in the image below.
Has anyone encountered this issue before or have any suggestions on how to resolve it?

Hi, I’m having the same issue with creating an Insight Card for a Lead & Quote record! Were you able to figure out a solution?

    Hello SS-06080956-0,

This error indicates that the flow is unable to establish a connection between the Lead record and the Insight Card. This is often due to missing or incorrect configuration in the flow's actions or the underlying Dynamics 365 environment.

    Potential Causes and Solutions

    Incorrect Trigger
Verify Trigger Conditions: Ensure that the flow is triggered correctly when a Lead record is updated. The trigger should be set to "When a row is added, modified, or deleted."
Check Trigger Filter: If you have any filters in the trigger, make sure they are correctly configured to include the desired Lead records.
Invalid Input to 'Create Card for Assistant' Action:
Inspect Input Values: Carefully review the input values provided to this action, especially the "Regarding" field. This field should reference the Lead record that triggered the flow.
Ensure Correct Entity Reference: The "Regarding" field should be set to the correct entity reference, which in this case is the Lead entity.

    Missing or Incorrect Permissions
Check User Permissions: Verify that the user account running the flow has the necessary permissions to create Insight Cards and modify Lead records.
Review Security Roles: Ensure that the security role associated with the user account has the required privileges.

    Data Validation Issues
Validate Lead Record Data: Check if there are any issues with the data in the Lead record, such as missing or invalid fields.
Clean Up Data: If necessary, clean up any data inconsistencies that might be causing the error.

    Troubleshooting Steps
Review Flow Definition: Double-check the flow's definition, especially the trigger and the "Create Card for Assistant" action.
Test with Simplified Flow: Create a simplified flow with fewer actions to isolate the issue.
Check User Permissions: Verify that the user account running the flow has the necessary privileges.
Inspect Flow Logs: Review the flow's run history to identify any error messages or unexpected behavior.
Consult Microsoft Documentation: Refer to Microsoft's official documentation for Power Automate and Dynamics 365 for specific guidance and troubleshooting tips.

    Additional Tips
Use Dynamic Content: Use dynamic content to reference the correct fields from the Lead record.
Test with Sample Data: Create a test Lead record and run the flow manually to isolate the issue.

Consider Using a Different Approach: If the above solutions don't work, consider using a different approach, such as using a custom workflow or plugin.
By following these steps and carefully analyzing the error message, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with the "Create Card for Assistant" action.
