Can we use Display Name instead Name in Word Template

Hi All

I see that the word template uses the Name (logical name) field of the table. This causes many difficulties for business users. Do we have any solution using Display Name instead of Name?

This is especially in case of multilanguage, it will help a lot for business users when using Display Name

Hi Dai Truong,

You need to use the entity fields as they are displayed in the XML Mapping Pane.

Hi Adrian

In XML Mapping Pane, D365 is using Name field of table. I would like to use Display Name - Can you help me to change it?

Hi Truong_Dai,

As per my understanding, you want show "Display Name" attribute of all columns in XML Mapping control list.

You cannot DO this; you have to provide logical names to get runtime values either you're working with Word/Email templates.

Normally, we don't ask business users to edit these templates (in terms of changing columns) because this would cause difficulties for them.

Hi Dai Truong,

There is no way to change this. You have to use the logical name displayed in the XML Mapping Pane.
