Hi
I would like to ask if someone has some proper way to handle numerous MS accounts.
This topic is not so much related to this D365 F&O forum. But then again it is very relevant if one considers the fact that 99% of the MS accounts I have are there because I do D365 F&O dev. And my productivity is heavily influenced by logging in and out and out and in and out (also occasionally struggling with a password, despite KeyChain and Chrome remembering it for me). And I am sure that most people involved with D365 F&O have experienced or are experiencing the same issue.
To clarify the problem, I will state my current position. A summary of my MS accounts:
- At my organisation I have an account pete.alberts@myOrganization.com on which my VS subscription is associated and with which I log on to dev environments and DevOps. I also have an account for my organisation's subsidiary pete.alberts@myOrganizationsSubsidiary.com (haven't really used it).
- Then I have 3 other accounts for the organisations (D365 F&O ISVs) to which my organisation outsource: pete.alberts@otherOrganizationA.com, pete.alberts@otherOrganizationB.com and pete.alberts@otherOrganizationC.com. I need these accounts to connect to DevOps (in browser and VS) as well as on the dev environments.
- Then I have accounts for my organisation's clients and the 3 other organisations' clients. Those are so numerous I am not even going to list them. I use these to log onto the clients' environments.
- Then I have my own personal MS account.
- I also have a personal gmail account (I think it is also an MS account) with which I log onto this forum. I should've registered with pete.alberts@myOrganization.com, but that is a long time ago.
- Then I have a second gmail account (yes, my own fault for creating it back in the day) with which I am registered on docs.microsoft.com (also an MS account if I understand correctly, also an MS account - I use it on the learning portal).
If it needs to be said: the above list of accounts are a headache. And it looks the list will continue growing as I continue working in this industry.
Does someone have a solution or a suggestion? Or maybe just a report on how you handle the issue.
Thanks for your attention.
