Hi

My company is a software service provider, and we would like to have competency to be able to sell Microsoft Dynamics NAV, would like to seek your advice in how we could proceed and what are the necessaries.

Have been going rounds for the last month but no luck in finding a real solution

Looking forward to your guidance and reply

Raokman I'm looking at the one I had filled out and aside from the normal mailing address and demographic questions it had MPN Account Number, Partner Category (industry), product line of Dynamix you want to work with, and a general terms agreement handing general terms.  I suspect mostly they refer to your existing partner account and try to prevent market saturation in your area on a per capita basis.

I would just email the mbsagree address above, give them your partner number and request a current Registration Agreement.

I found the Solution Provider Agreement and the Dynamics Partner Registration Agreement...both had expired security certificates, so I wasn't able to open them.

What kind of information does Microsoft want to review? Headcount? Education? Experience? Projected sales?

    ???

    Thanks

Depends on what you mean by "reseller".  If you mean the Silver partner ERP competency than it's a catch 22.  You have to have 2 client install references to be a partner, but it would seem you need to be a partner to sell the licenses and get the first 2 client installs.

If you are talking about the "reseller" status according to this forum thread then if I recall correctly it's a few pages of application that you submit and they review, the "Microsoft Dynamics Partner Registration Agreement" ~ 5 pages.  You would seemingly use this to sell the licensing and implementation without the competency and then use those references to apply for the competency.

Curious about what bonafides you had to provide to Microsoft in order to become a reseller of NAV.

    Are there qualifications?  A checklist?

While we didn't get it sorted out in time for the opportunity we had, we did eventually make it through the partner application process for Dynamics.

You may want to query mbsagree AT Microsoft dot com as that ended up being the address the Dynamics Operation Team got in touch with us through.

There is daylight at the end of the tunnel eventually, hope this helps.

Frederick did you ever get any response or resolution on this??

We have been going through the same process trying to get in touch with someone at MS to become a Dynamics reseller.  We currently resell Sage and would like to move to Microsoft since we are already MS Server platform partners.

I finally resorted to chat and phone support and was given this number to call "800-456-0025".  Over the last 3 weeks I've left several voicemails and have received no call back.

Is there anyone at Microsoft who wants to talk to us about this?  I have a client interested in purchasing Dynamics GP with the Manufacturing add-on within the next month, otherwise they will have to go with QuickBooks and FishBowl....

Any response or sign of life is appreciated - Shayne

    Few things i tried

Click on the link at  "Visit the Path to Success with Microsoft Dynamics site to be introduced to the required steps and best practices.", got linked to a broken site

    Click on link at

    "Next steps"

Get started on your Path to Success with Microsoft Dynamics. (page not found error)

Enroll in the Microsoft Partner Program. (page not found error)

Evaluate the Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management opportunity. (redirected to CGI page)

The only working link is "Contact us to learn how to become a partner." which links me to the contact page and if i try to click on "Or contact the local Microsoft office for your country or region.", i will be calling the local office which will redirect all around again..

    Any advice?

RE: To become a Dynamics reseller

Have tried looking at it previously,  some of the links are broken and seems to have some problem to log into partnersource..

Tried to contact microsoft directly but can't as i am not from US,

Called microsoft partner network and they redirected me to the distributors

and distributors redirected me back to partners network..

and then partners network redirected me to dynamic sales support

and sales support redirected me to partners network..

Let me try to look around the site again tomorrow.. but any more detailed steps will be appreciated!
