SSRS: Error on the Main Report After Simply Running the Subreport and Resizing Columns!

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi:

The error appearing on the main SSRS report is "One or more parameters were not specified for the subreport".

What's strange is that I can alleviate this error by moving its subreport to a different location, running the main report, moving the subreport to its original location, and re-running the main report.

I can, also, alleviate the error by removing a filter from the main report's dataset, running the report, adding the filter back to the dataset, and re-running the report.

Why would simply running a subreport, saving the main report, or even resizing columns in general within SSRS cause this error?

Thank you!

John

I resolved this by adding another link in the mapping the subreport's parameters in the main report.
