Hey,

I'm trying to implement Budget Planning in D365 Finance and Operations (d365fo), and I can't seem to find any good resources that show you how to configure it. They explain each piece of the budget planning configuration and budget plan processing, but not enough for me to comprehend how it's supposed to all work together.

Does anyone have any good resources in order to learn the ins and outs of budget planning?

I'm still working through a lot of the links, but they are proving helpful.

MSDyn365FO: Deep dive into Budget planning. Columns and Layouts – AX tutorials: tips and tricks

That is a great one if you want to follow it through and see everything work and have a step by step.

Some of the YouTube ones were good, but they miss some key configurations you need, so you get stuck if you're following along. Again, I'm still early stages at trying to figure it all out and haven't gotten to position forecasting or project forecasting yet.

This is standard MS link: Intelligent Budget Proposal in Dynamics 365 Finance - Training | Microsoft Learn.

It doesn't talk about budget planning, but we can understand one thing from here, using the financial insights, it generates the budget proposals, that converts to Budget register entries. similarly to Budget planning module, where we set mutliple scenarios to reach to a particular budget amount and then convert to Budget register entries.
