Hi,

I have a form having employee Id as one of the fields. My requirement is that upon clicking any employee Id in the form , a dialog box should appear on the screen displaying details of the selected employee Id.

Second requirement is that on clicking the OK button of dialog box , a second form should open.

Please help me on this.

Regards

    Hi rsingh,

You need to create one dialog form with all the employee detail fields - On the employee Ids button - You can add a jump ref method to call that dialog form - Upon clicking ok button on the dialog form you can call the second form on the closeOk method of the dialog form.

Refer to the below link for using jump ref method.

    JumpRef in D365 FO

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

Refer to the form TsTimesheetCreate >> Methods >> closeOk >> Here they will be calling the another form upon clicking of ok button on the dialog form.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

    Hi Girish,

Thank u for your response. Here we have created dialog box(class), not dialog form. So I am not sure the steps you mentioned will applicable to dialog class as well.

    Could u please help further.

I am not sure its good idea to go with dialog box instead of dialog form.

Add the Yes or No dialog box inside jumpRef method of the control.

If it's a dialog box, you need to use Yes or No dialog box.

If the dialog box Yes is clicked, you can call the second form.

Refer to the below blog for NoYes dialog box.

    Thanks,
