Migration of Attachments from AX 2009 to D365 F&O

Hello all,

We have a large number of document attachments in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 linked to Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, and some other.

We are currently migrating to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and would like guidance on the best approach to migrate these attachments.

  • What is the recommended best practice for migrating attachments?

  • Has anyone used Data Management Framework successfully for this?

    Hi,
    Have you looked at the data transfer tool for AX2009 upgrade to D365FO, It has scripts to do such things.

    Hello, confirm you can use the DMT to migrate these files.
     
    You can do it for common entities, if not found an entity you have to create it, take a look over Customer V2 attachments to create a similar based on your needs.
