Hi guys,

I have Microsoft Dynamic 365 Portal that gets information off user and after the person hits submit, there is a workflow that runs in the background that populates SharePoint location field. What I want to is have button so when the user clicks on it, it gets the value from the field and the user will be able to download it. This is all in web form and can't figure out how i can get the value from the field.

Any help will be appreciated.

Many thanks

    Hello,

You can use the SharePoint rest API to get the data and display it in Portal.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../get-to-know-the-sharepoint-rest-service

This example show how to get the D365 data in portal using oData.

    Hi partner,

Since you have stored the sharepoint location in a field after submitting the record in portal, you could create a new button with JS code to download the file directly in the submit function in portal

    Please refer to these links.

    Hi Leo,

Thank you for the links but I can't see the button I added in Web Form from the website. I have added it as custom JavaScript. I do have content spinet where I can create the button but I don't think I will be able to get information from field by using that. Any ideas?

    Hi partner,

It will take some time to sync  the settings from D365 to portal.

And I have replied to you in your new thread.

    Regards,

    Leo
