Bluetooth Speaker doesn't work with Dynamics 365 Remote Assist Mobile

Posted on by 5

Hi All, has anyone faced a challenge using Bluetooth speakers with Remote Assist Mobile and what was your fix to make it working?

We have deployed it recently to shopfloor, where it is quite noisy, and need to have the headset wired or Bluetooth ideally. What we have noticed that sound comes from phone speakers not from Bluetooth or wired one.

Thank you in advance.

Rustam.

Is this issue with an Android or an iPhone?

If this is Android, sometimes "Calls" or "Audio" is disabled in the bluetooth sync settings of the device that is connected.

Are all of your bluetooth devices' settings enabled in this dialog?

I've found the same issue.  clicking/tapping the audio icon doesnt seem to solve this for me.

One workaround i've found is that if I connect to the bluetooth headset AFTER joining the meeting it works fine.  If the headset is connected before joining then it doesnt work and forces sound and mic through the iPad.  Again, connecting the bluetooth headset after joining the meeting seems to work for me.  Best of luck!

Take a stab at tapping the sound speaker symbol, it should change you from speaker to earphones. On the off chance that that doesn't work please answer back.

Tested with my BT headset and it worked. I have suggested to the product manager that we change the button to indicate a connected BT device.

    Hi Rustam,

Try tapping the audio speaker icon, it should switch you from speaker to headphones.  If that doesn't work please reply back.

    Best,

    Jason
