How to set the default Dashboard per security role or team?

Hello !

We have hidden most of the dashboards, and created our own. I set it as default, but sometimes, users see an error message as the CRM is trying to show the Outlook dashboard, and it's not working.

Ideally, I would like to be able to set a dashboard per security role, to have different dashboards for different profiles. Or at least, one default dashboard per "zone" (sales, services, marketing), but I can't do that either. In the SiteMap editor, there is a field for the dashboard, but i can't select anything in the field.

What am I doing wrong ?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

You can't set a dashboard according to security roles. You can use a tool called User Settings Utility available on XrmToolBox. You can apply a default dashboard to users within a view.

    Hi,

Please go to Settings-->customization-->customize the system-->Click on dashboard -->select the dashboard you want-->enable security role.

Thanks for your answer ! :-)

I did that already. I have removed all security roles for all the dashboards we are not using anymore, I have allowed our new dashboard for everybody, and set it as default. The outlook dashboard is allowed for everybody as well (if not, the Outlook integration is not working). But from time to time, it seems to decide that the Outlook dashboard is the default one. It happened yesterday, and I didn't change anything in the CRM that day. And the users didn't touch anything either. So it's really weird.

    Hi,

Is this happening on any specific app? If yes check that app in app designer as well.

Also check if the users have any team membership which have more security roles which giving them access to other dashboards.

    Thanks,

    Soumen
