Project Ops Lite Licenses

My organization has D365 Project Ops licenses (Project Ops version that requires F&O connection). While we want to try Project Oerations Lite (that can work without being connected to F&O). We are not sure whether we have Projet Lite licenses and decided to start with the trial version of Lite .

According to this article https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/project-operations/environment/lite-preview-subscription-sign-up#prerequisites, to get access to Project Ops Lite trial version, one should go to Project Operations Trial to redeem the first offer code. To me it sounds like an action for the users who do not have any D365 licenses. Does anyone know if this article is applicable to the users with the exiting access to D365 in order to get access to Project Ops Lite?

TIA!
