MS Dynamics AX 7 VPC download and extract error "The volume is corrupt"

Hi Experts,

i was downloading the local VPC for dynamics AX 7, of course you must have that privilege to login.

after downloading, while extracting i got below errors, but i have tried this downloading many times, but same issue.... any helps much appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Hi Sudanshu,

    First check if you have started extraction of the VM with part 01. I cannot see this part in the above provided log.

    Otherwise I would suggest to check your harddrive for bad sectors and also check the stability of your internet connection. While downloading make sure the computer will not go into a power save or sleep modus. The drive where you put the files should be healthy.

    The archive usually comes as a self-extracting archive with an EXE file.

    Maybe your firewall/virus scanner has blocked that part, check with your system engineers.

    You should start the extraction by running that file, and will take care of the rest.

    Hi Both, many thanks for your quick response.

    i have the 1 part (.exe) and i am running that to extract.

    i tried this in another n/w(home n/w) and in another machine also, still same issue.

    any other thoughts?

    Hi Sudhanshu,

    Have you tried re-downloading the packages from another network? It might not only be the execution but download might have also been restricted.

    Maybe someone who has the image could do an MD5 checksum and provide it for you to check if it is ok. I am sure it is the network / connectivity / environment issue.
