    Hello CU08021035-0,

You've connected Confluence to Dynamics 365, but the search isn't working. This is a common issue, and here's a breakdown of troubleshooting steps and potential solutions:

    1. Verify the Connection:

    • Double-check Credentials: Ensure the Confluence API credentials (username/password, API token, or OAuth credentials) used in the Dynamics 365 integration are absolutely correct. Even a small typo can prevent the connection from working.

    • Connection Status: Within Dynamics 365, there should be a way to test or verify the connection to Confluence. Look for a "Test Connection" button or similar. This will confirm whether Dynamics 365 can successfully communicate with Confluence.

    • Confluence Permissions: The Confluence user account used for the integration needs the appropriate permissions to access the spaces and content you want to search. Check if the account has read access to the relevant Confluence spaces.

    •

    2. Data Synchronization/Indexing:

    • Initial Sync: Connecting Confluence doesn't automatically make all articles searchable. There's usually a process to synchronize or index the data. Look for settings related to "Data Sync," "Indexing," or "Content Crawling" in the integration configuration within Dynamics 365.

    • Scheduled Sync: If there's a synchronization process, it might be scheduled (e.g., daily or weekly). Check the schedule to see when the next sync is due. You might be able to trigger a manual sync to test immediately.

    • Indexing Issues: Even after syncing, there might be problems with the indexing process. Check the logs or any error messages related to the synchronization or indexing. Some integrations may allow you to rebuild the index.

    •

    3. Search Configuration:

    • Search Scope: Define which Confluence spaces or content types should be included in the search. The integration might allow you to specify which spaces to index.

    • Search Fields: Configure which fields from Confluence articles (e.g., title, content, tags, labels) are searched. If only the title is being searched, and your users are searching for keywords in the article body, the search won't work.

    • Search Relevance: Some integrations offer options to tune search relevance. If the search is returning results, but they aren't relevant, you might need to adjust these settings.

    • Keywords and Synonyms: Consider how users are searching. If they use different terms than the ones in your Confluence articles, the search might fail. Explore if the integration supports synonyms or keyword mapping.

    •

    4. API Limits and Rate Limiting:

    • Confluence API Limits: Confluence has API rate limits to prevent abuse. If you're making too many requests, you might hit these limits and the integration will fail. Check the Confluence documentation for API rate limits and ensure your integration respects them.

    • Dynamics 365 Limits: Dynamics 365 might also have its own rate limits.

    •

    5. Troubleshooting Steps:

    • Logs: Examine the logs in both Dynamics 365 and Confluence for any error messages or warnings. These logs can provide valuable clues about the issue.

    • Test with a Simple Search: Try searching for a very specific term that you know exists in a Confluence article. This can help isolate whether the problem is with the connection, indexing, or search configuration.

    • Simplify the Configuration: If you have a complex search configuration, try simplifying it to the bare minimum (e.g., searching only the title field in one specific space). This can help identify the source of the problem.

    • Check Integration Documentation: Review the documentation for the specific Confluence-Dynamics 365 integration you're using. It should contain troubleshooting tips and information about known issues.

    •

    6. Contact Support:

    • Integration Provider: If you're using a third-party integration, contact their support team. They might have specific knowledge about the issue.

    • Microsoft Support: If the integration is provided by Microsoft, contact their support.

    • Atlassian Support (Confluence): If you suspect the issue is on the Confluence side, contact Atlassian support.
