How do I set the current date to today's date for No Series in Navision 2018?

Posted on by 3,950

Hi,

I have a series no from 2017 till today. I always thought that no series will naturally choose today's date to start in the no series.

But one of my user reported that the no series started in 2020. As seen here. no series start from SI-2000XXX which is the year 2000, but it should have been SI-2021XXX.

May I ask how can I change the no series without deleting the old no series?

Thank you.

    Josh,

Adding to what Bilal replied... No. Series are not intelligent in that they will update or change based on years or other variables, like the one you described. As Bilal noted, you can update the No. Series to a new one with 2021, when the year changed.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Hi you can manually update the Last No used in the No. Series Line to SI-2021XXX

Or otherwise you can create a new no series line and attach it to the existing no series.
