Convert Campaign Response to Lead

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi All,

I think I have an issue on Campaign Response entity

I'm using this Version. 1612 (9.0.2.193) (DB 9.0.2.189) online

ScreenHunter_5F00_434-May.-30-17.10.jpg

So when I tried to click  'Convert Campaign Response', I cannot click on these 3 buttons:

1. Create Lead

2. Convert to Existing Lead

3. Create a quote, order, or opportunity for an account or contact

So, I cannot create new Lead from Campaign Response now.

ps: on previous version Dynamics 365 version 8.x it run well.

So, what is it about?

1. Is it a new behavior from Mircrosoft?

2. Or maybe I need to fill something mandatory?

3. Maybe something else?

Have you solved this issue, and can you share us what we can do, because I have the same problem on our On-Premise 9.0.6.9 environment :(

    Hi Hakim,

Thank you for your reply, my user has "system administrator" role.

As my testing scenario, if use the same User and I assign Business Unit Lead record to Root BU I can convert to Lead, but if I assign BU to another BU ribbon button is disabled.

From your update it appears to be a security permission issue. Can you double check what security roles the user who cant covert has? Then check if the role has the right permissions on the case entity and campaign entity. This will likely need to be the create on the case entity and append/append to on the campaign response entity.

Hi Shidin, I tried on IE as well and the output still the same.

*update: I login use user with BU root, then the radio button is clickable.

    this is weird for me.

Most probably, it is a bug, due to the new release.

Try in different browsers. If its the same issue throughout, raise a ticket with Microsoft.
