Migrate from Dynamics CRM On-Premises 8.2 to Dynamics 365 cloud

Hi all

We're looking at taking our dynamics CRM on-premises system (recently upgraded to 8.2) and migrating it to the cloud.

I'm having difficulties with even getting started with this, as the cloud system doesn't look anything like what we have on prem, can anyone point me in the right direction for beginning the process or finding the information needed?

I've tried to search for information on this process, but the information I do find seems to be for earlier versions of cloud Dynamics which doesn't mention anything about the unified interface, which itself is quite confusing to me.

Sorry for the daft questions.

Adam

    Hello Adam,
Please access UCI playbook here: Unified Interface Playbook for Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs to understand how to transition from classic Web UI.
If you need help with migrating to cloud, please watch the process here:  https://aka.ms/op2oltechtalk and let me know when you are ready to start the process.

    Thanks,
    Pravin Kumar

    Pravin,

My company is looking at going from on-prem to online, but we have a small user base and I don't think we would qualify for FastTrack. I have looked at the KingswaySoft migration starter pack in the past. Do products like this work with the current on-line versions?

    Thanks,

    Eric

    Hi Eric,

There's no qualification criteria to onboard your customer to OP2OL migration program. CRM on-prem version should be >= CRM2011, let me know if you interested so we can go over the process.

    Pravin,

How can I get in contact with you? I don't see an option to PM.

    Eric.

    Hi Eric,

Please download OP2OL whitepaper from the link: https://aka.ms/op2olwhitepaper. It has email ID of my team in page #8, please email your questions and details.

    Thanks,

    Pravin Kumar

    Pravin,

I have read through the op2opwhitepaper and have a couple of questions. The first is that page 8 doesn't contain an e-mail address. Page 9 contains an e-mail for the factory team. Is that the e-mail I should use?

    Eric.

That's correct. With recent updates to whitepaper, email ID is in page #9 now

    Thanks,

    Pravin

I thought so. Just thought I'd check first.

    Thanks.
