Only AX 2009 is installed on the box. We have an outside WMS system which we are trying to interface to AX 2009. The WMS system was written to work with the Microsoft.Dynamics.BusinessConnectorNet.dll in AX4.0. We are trying to determine if we need to recode the WMS system to work with AX5.0. Currently we are trying to logon from the WMS system to AX (calling Axapta.LogonAs method) and having no success. We are trying to determine if changes to the dll in 2009 could be causing the log on failure (ie 4.0 dll cannot be used with 2009) or if we have some issue with the logon criteria).
Thanks,
Ericka
If you install AX 4 and AX 2009 on the same box, the reporting service cannot run correctly.
You mentioend:

Is it possible to use the 4.0 Connector .dll to connect to AX 2009? We have an outside application which was written against the 4.0 dll.
Thanks,
Ericka
Hi,
Yes, you can run both on one PC. They even use different default parameters, so you can setup them for different AX instances.
I had an application which use .Net connector from both versions without recompilation - I just substitute one connector .dll by another and it works.
I don't think you can connect through .Net connector for 2009 to AX 4.0 AOS.

Oleksandr
