Fixed Assets Random Entries

Hi All,

We copied company data two months ago through professional service tools on GP 2015 and we faced the following issue through the fixed assets module.

when we conduct any new action such as FA purchasing or regular depreciation or retirement then we go to use the GL posting we get a random entries for random fixed assets from previous years without any relation to the current processes

at the beginning when the first time faced that issue we get all that entries which needed every time to close the GL posting and reopen it to get more entries and post to GL till all the strange entries finished and get the system message that no transaction then we delete the strange entries from the GL

but unfortunately that issue still coming with every single process on FA module with historical random fixed assets although the current data starting from September 2021

So any advise to handle that issue

Thank you for your post.

I've done some digging into this and do see we have Quality Report 91202 on this issue. The problem is a result of the FA15000 or FA00905 not coming over in the copy feature. The batch data needs to be here as we use this table to determine the next batch number. Since it is missing we "reuse" the batches.

I'd encourage if you require further details on the SQL statements needed to correct this, would be to create a support case and we can look further into it.

There could also be someone in the community that could offer guidance as well.
