Unable remove Nav 2016 instance in 2015 MMC

I had both Nav 2015/2016 on my PC. I uninstall Nav 2016 setup, yet all the server instances which I have created in Nav 2016 version is still appear in Nav 2015 MMC. Simply I tried to remove the Nav instance which I had created in Nav 2016 version using Nav 2015 MMC. It was not possible and the following error prompted. Also I tried by removing both 2015/2016 versions and reinstalled Nav 2015 version. But still the instance that I created in Nav 2016 is appearing in Nav 2015 MMC. 1488.Error.JPG

Create service folder in above path and try again.

Try to install the NAV 2016 instance again and then later uninstall the same from the machine. It would remove the instance.

HI Kasun

Just Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\80\Services\ Folder and Copy the "Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Server.exe" and Past it to the 2016 Path Which is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\90\Services\

after Pasting the 2015 Server.exe file to the 2016 Service Folder just go to Dynamics NAV 2015 Administration and Remove it.

My Solution is Tested and Work fine, i had the same problem and this is the way i have ave Solved it.

You can only delete this Nav Instance on the Nav MMC version that created it, if you delete Nav Instance to not show on your NAV MMC 2015.

You can reinstall MS Dynamics 2016

You go to:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\90\Service\Instances

Create folder BPML

Then use Microsoft Dynamics Nav MMC 2016 or Service Tier Administration Tool v2.5.5 to remove this Nav Instance

You can us command prompt to delete services.

SC Delete <ServiceName>.
