Has anyone had a scenario to decommission their D365 environment? Is there any how to dos and what to dos for this?

Hi, If you are referring to Cloud Hosted (Tier1) environment in D365FO then check the below article. You need to Click on DeAllocate button first, after de-allocation, status of the environment will change to Pending Delete. To Delete, Click on Delete button and specify environment name to confirm.

For Tier2 & Above, there is no Deallocate button. You will see Delete button for Environment in LCS, follow same steps as mentioned in the article.
