Button to mark activity complete and create a new activity

Is there a way to automatically open a follow-up activity after a phone call or other activity is saved and completed? Right now we have to save and complete the activity, and then create a whole new follow up activity from scratch.

    Hi,

    I would create custom button, workflow and web api to achieve all the things.

    Hi partner,

    We could use workflow to achieve this requirement.

    We could create an option set field with value "task, appointment, phone call, email" and determine which activity to create based on the value of this field.

    Here is a sample for you to refer to and you could follow the steps in it.

    But there may be a little cumbersome because we need to configure a workflow for each active entity not only phone call but also task, email, appointment...
