Synchronize Accounts with Outlook

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

is it possible to sync the Accounts to outlook? It seems that only contacts can be synchronized.

We use Dynamics 365 On-Premise with Server-Side-Sync to Exchange On-Premise (2016).

Thanks!

    Hi Sven,

Firstly, you could not sync Account to Outlook as Priyesh said. You could only access Account info from Outlook by D365 App for Outlook or D365 for Outlook Addin.

Secondly, you could download Dynamics for phones on your mobile while it only support D365 Online now. You could check Account info from mobile device by D365 for Phones app.

Hope the above two suggestions could help.

    Regards

    Johnny

    Hi Priyesh,

thank you for your detailed reply. We already use the Outlook client, but we also want to use the Accounts on mobile devices (Exchange Active Sync) in Offline-Mode. Therefore, we need the Accounts in the address book of mobile devices.

    Thanks!

    RE: Synchronize Accounts with Outlook

    Hi Sven,

We can't sync Account to Outlook like we can Contacts.

We can access the Accounts, however. Using "D365 For Outlook" application.

It's a Windows application that gets setup on your system and authenticates from your credentials.

In that you can access your Accounts like how you access your data in Dynamics 365 itself.

Looks like you'll need this version of the same - www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

Also, you can check this link on how you can access Account Data - www.youtube.com/watch

In the above video, check from 01:00 timeline to see how data is accessible in CRM For Outlook in your Outlook application.

    Hope this helps.
