What is the difference between the Bank Payment Type of Electronic Payment and Electronic Payment-IAT?

In the Payment Journal when selecting a bank payment type there are two options for electronic payment. The options are electronic payment and electronic payment-IAT. What is the difference between the two bank payment types.

IAT is relatively new introduced International ACH format - as far as I'm concerned, it is more US related feature.
