Personal Views or System Views not visible in Sub Grid

Posted on by 13
Hello guys, we currently have the following issue. In our CRM we have configured an editable sub grid to our needs. Until a week ago it worked perfectly fine. The sub grid had a default view selected, and some users were given additional views (as shared personal views) that showed more data. We used the following article as reference. Subgrid views in the Unified Interface (oasystems.co.nz)

A week ago it started, that we weren't able to select either the personal or the default system view. Instead the only view available was the associated view. Within the form’s editor, I’m not even able to select any other default view, because not one of them is visible, even though there are still plenty of them, that are currently not in use. Has anybody else had this problem and has maybe come up with some solutions/work arounds?

One thing I already found out, is that, if I deactivate “show all views” on the sub grid, I at least get to see the default view, but the personal views are still missing. If I activate “Show all views” only the associated view is shown in the sub grid.

Thanks

Matthias

Personal Views or System Views not visible in Sub Grid

    Hello,

for anyone having the same issue, we have figured out why this happened. We published the forms in Power Apps. Later we checked the old solution explorer and there was still the old version of the form published. Somehow two versions of the same form had been published at the same time, resulting in the error described.

I hope this information will help anyone who encounters the same problem.

    Yours sincerely

    Matthias

    Hi,

we already tried this. We normaly have four system views and two personal views active for our users. In the forms editor, we are currently only able to select the default view. We arent even able to select any other view.

So even though we enabled the option for our users to select the views, we cant define the views, since only one view shows up in the selection. I sadly cant make any screenshots right now, because of the holidays, but hopefully i could further clarify the problem.

But for now im glad that we are not the only ones to experience this bug.

Do you maybe have any idea, why we cant select any other views in the forms editor?

    Best regards,
    Matthias

Personal Views or System Views not visible in Sub Grid
    Hi,

We investigated this scenario, and strangely the same thing is occurring on our end as well, only the associated view is accessible to us when we choose "Show all views."

However, you can still take the following actions to view both your personal and system views in our Sub-Grid:
    1. Choose "Allow users to change view" in Power Apps, then under "Selected views," choose the system or personal views you wish to display in the sub-grid (as displayed in the screenshot below):

    2.  At this point, every view that you have chosen is displayed in the corresponding sub-grid.

    Hope this helps.

If this helped, kindly please mark this answer as verified as it will help others too who might have same query as yours.

    Thanks!

Personal Views or System Views not visible in Sub Grid
    Hi Rudy,

thats strange, i just used the link again yesterday, but now its not available anymore. Well it basically listed the different ways of including views in a sub grid. How it works if the view is not in the app, i cant remember exactly all the steps.

The Problem we have is that we used to be able to select personal views as well as system views in our Sub-Grid. We had the option enabled that it should show all views, with one of them beeing the default view.
Last week we saw, that somehow only the associated view was visible, and neither the default view or any other view were available. I checked the forms editor, and there i wasn't able to change the default view, because it didnt show any other views. After i deactivated the the option "Show all Views" we were at least able to see the default view in the sub grid again but we are not able to change it to any other view (System or personal).

I hope i was able to clarify the problem.

    Kind regards,
    Matthias

    Hi,

We have looked at the link you provided and unfortunately it appears to be no longer accessible.

Please check if the link is still valid or update it with the latest link.
Or you can describe the process you followed to follow this post, which will allow us to better understand your problem.

    Best Regards,
    Rudy Zhang
