view suggestion for hierarchy

            SM1

    M1                M2

S1        S2                  S3

U1       U2          U3         U4

this is my situation . s1 has user U1 under him . he should see only U1 cases 

M1 has S1 and S2 under him . he should see both the guys and Users (U1 and U2) under him cases 

Sm1 has manager (M1 and M2 ) under him . so he should see both and S1 , S2 , S3 , U1 , U2 , U3 , U4 cases 

i tried setting up views 

how can i achieve this . any help would be really appreciated .

    Hi,

    If M1, M2 & SM1 is on the parent BU as of other users then you can still use manager hierarchy. Give it a try and see how it goes.

    Thanx arun for the reply . the problem is all of them are not same business unit . only S1, U1 , U2.. are same unit . M1 , M2 , SM1 are different business units

    You have to use Manager hierarchy security model. I assume all the above members are in same BU. You can setup the Manager lookup of respective user in CRM system user record.

    Then under Settings - Security - Hierarchy, choose Manager hierarchy, Depth & Entities to skip. In your case, Depth is 3 as SM can see U1 cases.

    Worth to mention, Managers can Edit their immediate reportees records, whereas can only Read the next level. For ex. M1 can edit S1 but can only Read U1 cases.
