Succesfull import managed solution didn't create/update fieldmappings

Hi,

I've got a question about our release. We created an update for our managed solution. In the TEST sandbox we have a unmanaged solution that we will export as managed and import to our ACCEPT sandbox environment. When I import this managed solution in our ACCEPT (sandbox) environment, everything seems to be ok. But when I'm testing to create an Opportunity and a Quote, the field mappings doesn't work. 

After some research I see that the fieldmappings have not been taken over. However, I have not been notified of this during the import. When I do them manually, via Customize The System, it works. However, it is not an option to recreate all of these in the default solution.

All field are already existing on TEST and ACCEPT environment.

I've attached a screenshot for clarification. Is there something how we can fix this?Fieldmapping.png

    Hi Awalter,

    We still have the same problem. We asked some technical consultants, the answer was that they also don't know how to fix this. What we did on our production environment is delete all field mappings, then generate automatically the field mappings. After this we imported the solution and for now it is solved, but I'm not sure for releases in the future...

    I'm getting this same issue.  Specifically, I noticed that the solution export from the current v9 environment has the <EntityMaps> section as completely empty, while the previous export of the same solution from a v8 environment has all our mappings, as expected.  Has anyone else seen this, and have any kind of solution?  I tried creating a solution with just the entitymaps section from the old version and importing it; while this imported without error, it did not bring in the mappings.

    I just tried something by myself:

    1. Open the test environment

    2. Create a new solution

    3. Add existing component "Opportunity_Quote" relation

    4. Export existing solution as managed

    5. Open the ACCEPT environment

    6. Import managed solution

    -  Import is ok, no warnings or errors

    7. Check if field mapping from Opportunity to Quote will work --> Answer is NO

    8. Open "Customize the system" and check if the field mappings exist --> Answer is NO

    Is there anything else I can do/check?
