Hi all,

I'm trying to install the Dynamics 365 for Outlook update 9.01.0000.1511 in a user's machine. The user already had the version 9.o installed.

But when I run the install file for 9.1, we get an error saying 'Unable to Stop service'. Below is the log detail regarding that error. What service is this talking about and how can this be resolved?

Based on the error log, it looks like failing to stop the Telemetry Service. You can manually stop Telemetry Service and try to install update again.

The telemetry service can be manually stopped this way:

    1) Press Windows + R key to open the run dialog

    2) Type services.msc and press OK

    3) In the opened Services window, find "Microsoft CRM Outlook Client Telemetry Service", select it, right click,  select "Stop" in the menu

After stopping this service, please try to install the update again and let me know the result.
