Power BI embedded security in D365FO

For Power BI Content that we can embed into Dynamics 365 FO, how can we apply security to it? 

There is Row-Level Security in Power BI but there are also user roles in D365FO. Can D365FO roles be transferred to Power BI or do we still need to set up RLS in Power BI and add users individually thus doubling the security work?

    Hi Terry,

    When you embed reports, the security from D365 is not applied on the data. So, you need to use RLS in Power BI.

    Hi Andre   Do you have high-level steps for using RLS combined with a AxDB security table?    Also I've used username() function by itself in DirectQuery / Embedded and get a Power BI error of VisualErrorSeeDetails_OpenConnectionError_tableEx.    Does that mean the function doesn't work in this setup?

    Did you mane to resolve this issue - I am at the same stage myself and would be grateful of any tips on to how you achieved passing the security from D365 F&O through to Power BI
