I looked at my clr.dll file on one server that doesn't have crashes and found the CLR.dll file version is 4.0.30319.18051. The client that keeps crashing has a version of 4.0.30319.34003. Would a difference in the AOS server's clr.dll file and the Client Server clr.dll be causing the crash?

Delete all files with extension AUC on the user machine profile

    c:\users\Username\AppData\Local

These files are recreated after application is open. This solution fixed issue of ax client crashing on one particular user only.

Uninstall the client and try to reinstall it..

During reinstallation it will check all the required pre requisite and issue will get fixed.

This issue may be because you have not applied all the latest cumulative updates as you have on your AOS server, please validate

Updating .NET framework may help indeed. It may be caused by the problem described in support.microsoft.com/.../2640103 or by something similar. I would update .NET framework before spending time with further research.
