Social Engagement Alerting Schedule

From the write up and the user guide it would appear that when setting a post alert in SE the email alert should trigger every time a post is picked up matching he alert criteria. They way it works for us though is that every 6 hours, from the time we created the alert, it sends an email with all of the alerts that have matched the criteria in the last 6 hours. Does anyone else see this behaviour? Is it possible to change this schedule behaviour?

    Hi Ian,

    I would make a service case on this, as the behaviour is outside MS guidelines for MSE - thus it should be fixed.

    Imagine a shitstorm starts forming, then you don't want to be in the passenger-seat for 6 hours.

    Hi Ian,

    We have this same behavior - email alert every 6 hours.

    As of right now, you can't change the timing of the email posts, as far as I know. That would definitely be a great update for Microsoft to make though.

    Personally, I've made a folder in my Outlook specifically for MSE email alerts to keep my email from getting too clogged up with those emails.
