Dears,

I am facing an issue when trying to ship or receive a transfer order for one particular Warehouse I have on my system.

"Inventory dimension Location must be specified." AX2012.

The items shipped are normal and the quantities are correct. I have copied the inventory dimension from an already working Warehouse but still the same error.

Your support is highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Tha

    Hi Tha,

Did you specify a receive location on your warehouse?

    Hi,

I'm also facing this issue "Inventory dimension Location must be specified." when trting to receive a transfer order. When the transfer order was created, the Warehouse was set without a receive location. Although the receive location on the warehouse was set, the transfer order destination warehouse location is not updated.

How can this transfer order be received?

    Thanks and Regards,

please review your inventory management setup

it seems default inbound outbound location for a warehouse is not specified properly

Please verify and update us with your findings

Specifically, check that a default receipt location is specified on the transit warehouse

Make sure that the order is registered. You can register by following : Inventory > Registration in the Transfer orders form. Here you can define batch and location for the receiving warehouse. Hope that helps! (Even though its a year late)

    Hi Ivan,

I am facing a similar issue wherein the user forgot to specify the default receipt location on the To warehouse and shipped the transfer order.

But, now while he is trying to receive it the system is throwing the same error.

I would request if you could guide me as to how I fix this.

    go to transfer order>Posting button>recieve

specify shipment voucher, Check "edit lines", "Inventory›" button > registration

Autocreate box > specify location in "Register now" area > "post all" button

Close and hit OK on Receive form.
