Dears,
I am facing an issue when trying to ship or receive a transfer order for one particular Warehouse I have on my system.
"Inventory dimension Location must be specified." AX2012.
The items shipped are normal and the quantities are correct. I have copied the inventory dimension from an already working Warehouse but still the same error.

It is resolved now.
go to transfer order>Posting button>recieve
specify shipment voucher, Check "edit lines", "Inventory›" button > registration
Autocreate box > specify location in "Register now" area > "post all" button
Close and hit OK on Receive form.
Yes it is working but problem that when i define Inventory Management > Warehouse > Inventory and warehouse management > "Default receipt location" i had errors message :
Cannot edit a record in Warehouses (InventLocation). Warehouse: DAX-WSW, DAX WS Warehouse.
The SQL database has issued an error.
SQL error description: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated.
SQL statement: UPDATE INVENTLOCATION SET WMSLOCATIONIDDEFAULTRECEIPT=?,RECVERSION=?,MODIFIEDDATETIME=?,MODIFIEDBY=? WHERE ((RECID=?) AND (RECVERSION=?))

Hi Ivan,
I am facing a similar issue wherein the user forgot to specify the default receipt location on the To warehouse and shipped the transfer order.
But, now while he is trying to receive it the system is throwing the same error.
I would request if you could guide me as to how I fix this.
Make sure that the order is registered. You can register by following : Inventory > Registration in the Transfer orders form. Here you can define batch and location for the receiving warehouse. Hope that helps! (Even though its a year late)
Specifically, check that a default receipt location is specified on the transit warehouse
please review your inventory management setup
it seems default inbound outbound location for a warehouse is not specified properly
