Hello,

I need to capture the last successful login date time of all the portal users, is there any other option other than the below two?

1) Authentication/LoginTrackingEnabled portal site setting

2) Out of box Customer Insights feature

thanks for the help!

    Hi,

I don't think there is any other standard way to achieve this. Infact setting " Authentication/LoginTrackingEnabled " setting should be the preferred way.

Any specific reason you are looking for option other than this?

    Hi partner,

This has a similar post: https://community.dynamics.com/365/f/761/t/263103

As the previous one said, setting Authentication/LoginTrackingEnabled is really a good way.

It will update the Last Successful Login field on the Contact record.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Lu Hao

    Hi CRMISKEY,

According to MS documentation the recommended way to achieve this would be using Azure Application Insights.

You can find the note here in the Audit login section.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi Ravi,

Microsoft says, doing this by means of "Authentication/LoginTrackingEnabled" site setting will have performance impact and not recommended. And, they say, it is going to be deprecated in one of the upcoming releases.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

In the same article where it says it will be deprecated, they have provided recommendation of using Azure Application Insights.

    Check this: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../portal-capabilities-for-dynamics-365-deprecated-features

    Hope this helps.

Has anyone implemented the new method yet? Looking to implement in the government cloud and want to confirm the resources needed to setup using Azure Application Insights.

The goal is to have the person locked out after XX days if they haven't logged in recently.
