Customer Payment Advice

Hi,
 
I can see a lot of information here regarding payment advice being generated for vendor payments, but what options are available to share payment advice with customers upon posting customer payment journals? I can see payment advice is greyed out.

    Hi there James,
     
    Please do the following -
     
    1. Go to AR module > Form setup > Print Management
    2. Select Payment Advice , right click on the mouse > New
     
    The default Payment Advice format will be created.
     
    Make sure that your method of payment has an Export format associated to it.
     
     
    3. Go to your Customer Payment journal
    4. Process the payment. Note: the status need to be changed to 'Sent''
    5. Click Print > Payment Advice
     
    Voila!

    For customers if you want to inform about payments, I think it is better to use Collection Letters

    Why would you want to generate payment advice on customer payments?  They already know they paid you, the amount, and the date, right?

    Ensure the Payment status on the journal line = Sent?
     
    Payment advice should then be available.
